🐝 About Beth Neels 🌻
Beth Neels, also known as Binky, is a syndicated freelance writer, food blogger, photographer, influencer, and lifelong gardener. She lives with her family on a 30-acre farm in rural Upstate New York, nestled in the heart of apple country, where fresh produce and pollinator-friendly plants are always part of the landscape.
With a degree in Ornamental Horticulture and Entomology from Cornell University, Beth brings a rare combination of botanical expertise and down-to-earth experience to everything she does, whether she’s planning her garden in January, starting seeds in early spring, or harvesting a backyard full of fresh fruits and vegetables in the summer and fall.
At BeesHaven, Beth shares her passion for supporting pollinators with practical gardening advice, seasonal plant guides, and simple ways to make outdoor spaces more bee-friendly. Her goal is to help others grow thriving gardens, without needing to become full-time beekeepers or botanists.
She also runs the food blog Binky’s Culinary Carnival, where many of the ingredients featured come straight from her garden, the local orchard, or the field. BCC reflects Beth’s lifelong connection between growing, gathering, and feeding the people she loves with sections on canning, quick weeknight dinners, grilling, and field-to-table cooking.
Whether you’re here for gardening tips, bee facts, or just a few ideas to make your yard more welcoming to pollinators, Beth is happy to share what she’s learned, one season, one garden, one hive at a time.
Thanks for being here!
